Plastic Man – Cartoon Network Pilot

In 2006 Warner Bros. made a pilot for a Plastic Man cartoon for Cartoon Network but unfortunately they did not pick up this show.

It’s a shame because this looks like it could have been an awesome show.

Fritz Lang‘s Fury was his first American made feature film, and it is as far from his German films such as Metropolis and M as one could get. It is almost like a standard 1930s Hollywood revenge flick, with Spencer Tracy as the innocent man who is arrested for a crime he did not commit, whilst a small town cries for his blood, and burns down his gaol, with him still in it. It is a lot like a Warner Bros. gangster film, even though it was made by MGM.

Whilst I did enjoy Fury very much, I did not think it was anything special. Unlike Lang’s German movies it does not stand out from the pack, although Spencer Tracy and Sylvia Sidney both give very good performances.

Don’t know if anyone else has noticed this but, the above banner has started appearing on the HS website over the last 2 or so months. It seems that the HS is no longer a newspaper but is now a stories paper.
